They installed it and it was a foot too short. Their solution was to patch the extra piece in, rather than remove it and replace it. It took many phone calls which weren't returned, a huge hassle and a long, long wait for the new install once they finally agreed to replace it. Sometimes the money you save with the big box store isn't worth it in the long run. You have to be persistent, keep after them or they won't make it right.
Please see the complete list of Return Policy Exceptions below. Oh and has anyone looked at those pictures? If you interpret curbside delivery as on the public roadway next to the curb, there isn't even enough room between the houses to place it. I'm sorry but where the heck was the guy suppose to delivery it? If he put it at the bottom of the driveway where the curb cut is you would have been pissed at the guy for blocking the driveway.
BUSINESS SERVICES
They are actually not suppose to drop stuff on the street or else someone like me would come around and give'm hell. You can purchase plate hangers at the hardware store in the section with picture hanging hardware. They are wires that stretch to fit on the back edges of the plate and then can be hung on the wall. They do not damage the plate but make it secure to hang.
They were supposed delivering 4 appliances today and nothing happened after waiting over 2 hours. The story is the trucker showed up and kept circling with his truck around the property whining that there is no parking spot for the 48 foot. Instead of pro-actively looking for solution, he smoked inside the truck, texted some photos to the office for the reason of disable to delivery. He gave me a cold look and then took off. I called HD right afterward and their advice is go ask for small truck delivery next time and each time from now on to avoid the issue.

During the first wash cycle it was noted that the washer was broken. We called the store manager and asked for a replacement. However, the store manager stated that a replacement or return can only be made within 48 hours after delivery and we were one day late.
Walls damaged during furniture delivery. How much should the company pay for repairs?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction. This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback. On March 24th 2013 we purchased an LG Washer from Home Depot in for the price of $940.65.
The driver should have used more care. Homedepot uses small little forklifts, and this damage should never happen with them. Just because you have a delivery on your driveway doesnt make it acceptable for someone to put a hole in your driveway.
Home Depot delivered damaged Kitchen
I just had the exact same thing happen. I took the day off, the truck pulls up 5 minutes before the end of the 4 hour window. They sit in the truck and drive away. I spend hours on the phone and am told they tried to call me and that there wasn't parking. I assume they wanted to finish their day so my leaking refrigerator was left to keep destroying our floors. Home Depot appliance delivery is trash.
It is the shipping companies problem. We have made numerous calls to home depot. LG and the repair service without any response.
Either way, we can go with "should have", "could have" etc. Bottom line, do as recommended and call up customer service and speak to a rep that is willing to help and remain calm and be specific. They'll most likely want more details of which you have photo's you can send. If you feel they are no being helpful, call up the head office. Just be prepared with all the details and have an idea of what recourse you feel is acceptable in case they ask.
Stacey Friedlander said she suggested the delivery team of three take the couch out of the box to make it easier to get up the stairs. Stacey Friedlander sits on her staircase. A wall was damaged during a furniture delivery and she's been fighting for restitution. There are some light tire marks on the driveway no big deal, it's all where the forks went down.. And he did obviously go pretty far into my flower bed and I can see that the mulch and dirt was disturbed quite a bit, then kicked back in.. Curbside delivery means as close to your house but not in your house assuming you are nice, or at the end of the driveway but on the driveway and not roadway.
So, after a lot of hours dealing with Home Depot I kind of narrowed it down. I had ordered a Samsung washer and dryer from HD and it was to be delivered to my house in CT. The delivery day they refused to deliver due to icy driveway. Called HD again and realived they are calling Samsung which in turn is calling a 3rd party delivery service to sort this out.
The day of the delivery the dryer was brought in and hooked up no trouble. But when they brought the washer in it looked like someone had taken a hammer to it. We waited for several days to here from home depot, but we did not. I called the salesperson and of course she said she knew nothing of our problems.
It would best to get that wood off the driveway ASAP to prevent further settling, though. Looks like there's only a 3 slats of wood on the first pile and 2 slats on the 2nd holding up all that weight,. I'm sure you'll find indentation marks at those points when you move all that wood.
